Biography

Scott Joplin was born around 1868 in Arkansas in the United States of America and died from syphilis on the first of April 1917 at the of 48.
He was a composer of piano music and also a music teacher active from 1895 to 1917. His grave stayed, which was just a poor man’s one, remained unnoticed for more then 50 years. Grace to the movie “The Sting” that used his music his tomb is now a generally visited touristic site in East Elmhurst.
